1.04    SUBMITTALS

 

A.              Provide submittals in accordance with Conditions of the Contract and Section 01330-Submittal Procedures.

B.              Submit shop drawings showing layout, door swings, profiles, and product components, including anchorage, accessories and finish colors.

2.03    COMPONENTS

 

A.              Panels and doors 1 inch (25 mm) thick, consisting of 0.48 high pressure plastic laminate bonded to 45 pound density industrial grade particleboard using non toxic adhesive.

1.              Plastic laminate shall meet or exceed NEMA standards.

2.              Laminate door and panel edges before faces to achieve maximum protection from moisture penetration.

B.              Pilasters 1-¼ inch (32 mm) thick, same construction as panels and doors, with 3/8 inch (10 mm) threaded rods for [floor] [ceiling] anchoring, and hex nuts and washers for adjustment.

 

2.04    Accessories 

 

A.              Four piece pilaster shoes, 4 inch (102 mm) high 300 series stainless steel, anchored in place with chrome plated screws.

B.              Head Rails: 1-1/4 x 1-1/2 inch (25 x 38 mm) anodized aluminum tube with anti-grip profile and cast socket wall brackets.

PART 3 EXECUTION

 

3.01    EXAMINATION

 

A.              Verify that finishes and plumbing are complete and acceptable for the installation of toilet compartments.

B.              Verify field measurements are as shown on approved shop drawings.

C.              Verify correct spacing of plumbing fixtures.

D.              Verify correct location of built-in framing, blocking, anchorage, and bracing.

 

3.02    INSTALLATION

 

A.              Comply with manufacturer’s written instructions and approved shop drawings for installation of compartments.

B.              Anchor panel brackets to construction using anchors suitable for supporting substrate.

C.              Attach panels and pilasters to brackets. Locate head rail joints at pilaster centerlines.

D.              Attach clamp design head rail over pilaster and secure to front with screws.

 

3.03    ADJUSTING

 

A.              Section 01700 – Execution Requirements: Testing, adjusting, and balancing.

B.              Adjust and align hardware to uniform clearance at vertical edge of doors, not exceeding 3/16 inch (5 mm).

C.              Adjust hinges to position doors in [partially] [fully] opened position when unlatched.  Return out swinging doors to closed position.  (Note: Out swinging doors require wall or panel to limit door travel to maximum 105 degrees.)

D.              Correct minor damage to installed products; remove and replace work that cannot be satisfactorily repaired.

 

3.04    CLEANING

 

A.              Remove packaging and construction debris, and legally dispose of off-site.

 

3.05    SCHEDULE
